The children at the Pan de Vida children’s home receive homework help after school. This is necessary because some children did not attend school at first. Sometimes the home situation is so unsafe that it is difficult for the children in Peru to concentrate during class or during homework. In addition, there are youngsters in the children’s restaurants who would like to study but have no money to do so. Parents are unable to support them financially. Pan de Vida wants to help children and young people be able to go to school to make the most of it. Therefore, children in the children’s home are supported by a teacher who helps them with homework. There are volunteers who support the teacher. Pan de Vida Foundation likes to get everything out of the children and encourage them to make something of their lives.
The youngsters are supported with a financial contribution from which they pay tuition fees, travel expenses, books and other materials. Pan de Vida requires a contribution from parents. The students themselves also contribute by finding a side job alongside their studies. In this way, they learn to take responsibility over their lives.
